CrossFit KIDS

CrossFit KIDS is a strength and conditioning program that is specifically designed for kids and teenagers and helps them develop a lifelong love of fitness. CrossFit Kids workouts consist of constantly varied, functional movements that deliver a fitness that is broad, inclusive and general and scalable for any participant at any level. This means that, for the most part, no two workouts are the same, so kids never get bored and the novelty of each workout keeps them excited about participating.

The functional movements involve exercises that are fundamental to all things that kids need to do when they play: pull, push,run, throw, climb, lift and jump. All of the movements are taught safely and effectively under the close supervision of trained CrossFit coaches. Kids will become well-rounded athletes who will be better at any and every sport that they play because CrossFit Kids doesn’t coach them to be good at just one thing. They are good at all things!

Our workouts will increase physical competence in 10 physical fitness areas: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy. With workouts that are scalable, CrossFit Kids can equally benefit a child who is less active or an accomplished athlete by tailoring workouts so that each participant is challenged just enough to deliver measurable results and personal athletic progress.

Class Structure:

Kids (ages 5-13) work out together Mondays and Wednesdays. The Juniors (ages 9 - 13) have another day available per week on Fridays. Each class is designed to challenge and encourage all the different age groups appropriately. We have several coaches and assistants on staff to help all levels of kids!

Mon and Wed 4pm

Kids and Juniors will begin with a group warm up, move into some focus time on a particular skill set, complete their WOD (workout of the day), then end with a cool down or game. Nutrition and healthy living is also discussed in classes. All workouts are customized to each child so that they are safe, but also challenged in their workouts.

Fridays at 4pm

Fridays at are for Juniors only (ages 9-13). Juniors will be completing the WOD that the rest of the gym does on Fridays. Coaches will modify the workouts for the Juniors and their individual skills. The Juniors get to record their WOD results on the main WOD board with the adults! This is a really incredible time that the kids get a feel for what real CrossFit classes are in preparation for their graduating into BASIC Training classes at age 14. We have had many kids complete KIDS classes and move into regular classes with great success!
